Description from the seller
Old Vespa-brand red siphons. Enjoy the photographs to understand the beauty of these siphons; they feature orange faucets or heads from Carbónicas Espumosos Fluxento Lugo. The most sought-after, a beauty with many years of age, in good condition for collectors and decoration. Seltzer water. They may have slight scratches or small glass flaws. They are hand-painted.
VESPA is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer, founded in 1946 in Pontedera by businessman Enrico Piaggio and aerospace engineer Corradino D'Ascanio. After World War II ended, Piaggio envisioned a comfortable, easy-to-handle, cheap mode of transportation. He commissioned an initial project to engineer Renzo Spolti. The first prototype was named Paperino, which means duck in Italian, with a design inspired by the folding motorcycles used by British paratroopers. Piaggio was not convinced by the first prototype project and turned to the aerospace engineer Corradino D'Ascanio. The engineer, who preferred airplanes to motorcycles, designed a vehicle with a revolutionary look for its time.
