Up for auction is a nice old full size italian violin for professional musician or collector. The label says: Gaetano Antoniazzi fece Milano 1888. This is a superb sounding instrument, also very beautiful in appearance.
The softly flamed two pieces maple back measures 355 mm. The total length of the violin is 586 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 162 mm; middle bouts: 108 mm; lower bouts: 201 mm. Full size. High to medium grained spruce top, brown reddish oil varnish with some tears and wears. This violin is in a good used condition, with no cracks, new ebony and rosewood set up, new bridge and new strings. Beautiful model with a very elegant natural amber patina, typically italian scroll with black stripes, very high quality of woods, perfect details all over. The sound is very powerful, deep, mellow and rich.
