Garuda, a mythical bird-like being from Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain traditions.
In Buddhism, Garuda is often shown as a fierce, winged creature with a human torso and eagle-like wings, symbolizing wisdom, speed, and the ability to overcome nagas (serpent spirits). The fierce expression and dynamic posture you see are meant to show his protective and powerful nature, not a meditative Buddha
