Two late 19th century Victorian / Edwardian walking canes.

1. A short formal cane of malacca wood, fitted with a sterling silver crook handle cap bearing hallmarks for London, 1889, and maker’s mark “E.D.” (Edward Dime). Possibly a ladies’ or travel cane, with finely preserved grain and classic proportions. 86cm long. 

2. A traditional gentleman’s walking stick of dark polished hardwood, fitted with a silver-plated crook handle cap and brass ferrule. Well worn and utilitarian, suited for daily use. 89cm long.

In fair condition with natural signs of use age related (please see the photos as they are a part of the description).

1850-1900 - Fair condition -  heavily used & with possibly minor parts missing
