THIS IS THE LAST EXCLUSIVE PHOTOBOOK AUCTION by 5Uhr30.com in 2025 -
with more than 100 great lots from my personal collection and from recent acquisitions.
VERY SCARCE, ORIGINAL SECOND GERMAN PRINTING from 1942 (first printing was published in 1937).
Like always 5Uhr30.com guarantees detailed and accurate descriptions, 100% transport protection, 100% transport insurance, and of course, combined shipping - worldwide.
Erna Lendvai-Dircksen was known for a series of volumes of portraits of rural individuals from throughout Germany. During the Third Reich, she also photographed for eugenicist publications and was commissioned to document the new autobahn and the workers constructing it.
Erna Lendvai-Dircksen was fully in line with Nazi ideology with his subjects after 1933 and, like his colleague Erich Retzlaff (1899-1993), was highly stylised as a pioneer of völkisch-German photographic art after 1933.
