This 16th-century leaf comes from a Latin prayer book printed in 1502 in France by Vostre.
Before 1497, the breviaries were handwritten; this page comes from a book that was printed.

This is a leaf on vellum (thin parchment - animal skin) with several beautifully decorated handwritten initials and marginal illustrations around the text. It is an original, unique piece from the 16th century.

Condition: Although more than 500 years old, the condition is fair/good; the parchment is slightly browned and has brown spots.
