Franz Xavier Bergmann, Bergmann Bronze, an early 20th‑century Austrian folk art bronze insect sculpture, stamped Bergmann amphora, patinated bronze, 3 × 4.5 × 6 cm, 75 g, signed, in excellent condition with preserved original polychromy.

Old and rare small figurative sculpture representing an insect, probably a flea.
It is a small bronze from Vienna from the early 20th century.
It is stamped with the Bergmann amphora (a capital B in a cauldron) for the firm of the famous Austrian sculptor Franz Xavier Bergmann (1861 - 1936).
In good condition.
The original polychromy is rather well preserved, signs of age wear to note.
Take a close look at all the photos which are an integral part of the description.
The thin antennas are still present.
Very beautiful work of realistic representation.
Dimensions: 3 x 4.5 x 6 cm.
Mass 75 grams.
