The SMC Pentax Soft 85mm f/2.2 is a unique portrait lens designed for the Pentax K-mount system. Unlike conventional lenses, it is optimized to produce a soft-focus effect with gentle glow and smooth bokeh, making it especially suited for portraiture and artistic photography. The softness level varies with aperture — wide open (f/2.2) delivers strong diffusion, while stopping down gradually increases sharpness.
