Two-volume 1766 edition of Anecdotes de médecine by Pierre-Antoine Du Monchaux, a Français-language, original-language work on medicine, science and natural history, in-12 with two parts totaling 621 pages, bound in brown calf leather with five raised bands and red morocco title pieces, in generally good condition with minor wear and some missing title pieces.

Complete in two volumes.
Lille, J.-B. Henry printer-bookseller. 1766. Small octavo. IX + 312 pages; 309 pages. Full calf binding in havana color, with richly decorated spine featuring five raised bands and red maroquin title pieces (volume number pieces missing). Cold framing on the covers.
Second and final augmented edition of this collection. The works are generally in good condition, aside from some rubbing on the edges and more significant wear on the spines with minor loss, a few scratches, and missing parts of the pagination.
Compilation of singular traits and facts drawn from authors who judged it appropriate to write about them in Latin and only for learned people.
This rare book is certainly not very useful for medical practice, but it offers a pleasant relaxation for practitioners and curious readers...
