The 2020 vintage is made up of 89% Tempranillo, 5% Graciano and 6% Garnacha from our own vineyards that are over 30 years old.

This red wine reserve has a unique personality, with a marked character and incomparable elegance. It is a great classic red wine from DOCa Rioja.

After the harvest, the grapes fermented in oak vats with native yeasts and with temperature control. This Rioja wine then underwent malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels and rested for 14 months in French oak barrels, 60% second year and the rest in new barrels.

Before being bottled, the wine was clarified with egg white. Once in the bottle, the Roda Reserva 2020 red wine rested for 22 months in the bottle to refine.

 We recommend decanting it 1 hour before drinking, so we can fully enjoy this Rioja reserve red wine.
On the eye
Medium-high layer, the Roda Reserva red wine has a deep cherry red hue with a blood-purple edge. This red reserve wine forms marked tears that are visibly coloured in the glass.

On the nose
In this Tempranillo wine with Graciano and Garnacha we have a strong presence of ripe red fruit, with sensations of fresh red fruit mixed with numerous spicy notes, among which cocoa and tobacco stand out. All in a perfect and balanced harmony with the toasted notes of the wood. This red reserve wine has an elegant mineral and aromatic herb background.

On the palate
Very balanced, expressive and delicate, with a fruity and fresh mid-palate, with delicate spicy sensations. With a very persistent and enveloping smoothness. Tasty notes of toasted notes that are more present than in previous vintages. It has silky, sweet, very well-integrated and fine tannins, which combine perfectly with its fresh acidity.  With a smooth finish, with fruity hints among sensations of humid undergrowth. Elegant wine from Bodegas Roda, structured and balanced, leaving fresh mineral sensations in the retronasal passage.
