Cette élégante garniture de cheminée française date du début du XXe siècle, vers 1900-1920. Elle est composée d'une horloge centrale et de deux candélabres assortis en onyx vert avec des ornements en bronze doré (ormolu) de style néoclassique, et comporte un mouvement d'horlogerie Japy de qualité.

Ces garnitures de cheminée étaient très prisées dans les intérieurs bourgeois français de la Belle Époque, symbolisant le raffinement et le statut social. Les collectionneurs d'antiquités françaises et les amateurs de décoration d'intérieur de style Second Empire ou Art Nouveau valorisent particulièrement ces ensembles pour leur élégance, leur artisanat soigné et leur valeur décorative intemporelle.
