The lid features a charming frog-shaped finial, and both handle and spout are finished in a distinctive turquoise-green glaze. Origin: China, Yixing kilns, Jiangsu Province Material: Red Yixing zisha clay with polychrome enamel Mark: Impressed seal mark reading “Yixing Hui Mengchen zhi” (宜兴惠孟臣制), meaning “Made by Hui Mengchen, Yixing.” This refers to the famous 17th-century master potter Hui Mengchen, whose name was often used on later high-quality pieces as a tribute to his classic craftsmanship. Dimensions: 12 x 18 x 11.5 cm (h x w x d) Condition: In never used, clean condition, one minimal chip on the bottom of the rim of the jar, not visible from outside. No cracks or restorations.
