An impressive pair of bronze ewers, in Renaissance style, with an amazing patina, circa 1900.
These ewers exemplify the Renaissance style, which drew heavily from classical antiquity and Greco-Roman art.
They feature intricate details such as cherub and angel mounts on the handles, often depicting mythological and Bacchanalian scenes with putti (cherubs) engaged in various activities like music, dance, or grape harvesting like in this case , as shown in one of the photos with the grapes hanging at the base of the handles.
