Vol. I: Cosmogenesis – London and Benares: The Theosophical Publishing Society, 1893. Reprinted 1902.

Provenance: The previous owner, Béla de Takách (1874–1947) was a Hungarian artist and architect whose work bridged fine arts, applied design, and Eastern philosophical thought.
A follower of Theosophy and Oriental mysticism, he was deeply interested in the spiritual dimensions of art.
First published in 1888, Blavatsky’s The Secret Doctrine is one of the cornerstones of modern Theosophy and a key work in the Western esoteric revival.
It aims to reconcile science, religion, and philosophy within a grand synthesis of ancient wisdom traditions.
The first volume (Cosmogenesis) discusses the origins and evolution of the universe, while the second (Anthropogenesis) focuses on the evolution of humanity. The third volume, issued posthumously, contains further essays, clarifications, and later developments of Blavatsky’s thought.
Condition: Good. Original publisher’s cloth preserved; gilt titles and decorations still bright. Previous owner's name inscribed; many contemporary ink underlinings throughout the text, especially in the third volume.
Note on shipping: These volumes are large and heavy, which explains the higher shipping cost.
