Set of nine medieval bronze buckles

Beautiful set of nine original bronze buckles from the medieval and early modern period, found with a metal detector on old agricultural land in the Betuwe.
The buckles date from the period around 1300 to 1500 and consist of various types: belt buckles, shoe buckles, and harness buckles.

There is everything from small simple buckles to beautifully crafted examples with ribbed decoration.
One clasp is still partly complete with a picture and pen, which is quite rare among archaeological finds.

All pieces retain their original patina and have not been polished.
Great for collectors or as a decorative historical object.

Sizes vary between approximately 2 and 4 cm.
