AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

GENERAL:

This specimen is a classic BMW 1502 Sedan from the 1975 model year. The 1502 was introduced by BMW in January 1975 and remained in production until July 1977 as the affordable entry model of the iconic 02-series, which was built from 1966 to 1977 in total. Although the designation might suggest otherwise, the car is factory-equipped with a 1574cc four-cylinder M10 engine, delivering 75 hp. This particular model was produced by BMW at the time to keep the entry into the 02-series attractive, even when the successor E21 3-series was already on the market. Both inside and out, this car is in a beautiful and well-maintained condition. It is finished in an elegant white body color combined with a contrasting blue interior. In short, this is a beautiful and well-driving BMW 1502 Sedan that is ready for plenty of driving pleasure.

BODYWORK & PAINT:

The car has been neatly maintained and the bodywork is in a nice condition. The paint still looks very good, with the inevitable signs of use and age that suit the classic’s age here and there. The chassis is also in good condition. The moldings, stainless trim, and paint are also in clean, top condition.

TECHNICAL:

Technically, the BMW is completely in order and fully checked. The 1574cc four-cylinder engine and the manual transmission are in very good condition, with the oil and all other fluids recently replaced. The car has had a major service in which all fluids were renewed, the mechanicals were checked, and everything was found to be 100 percent in order. The transmission functions properly and shifts very smoothly. A lot of maintenance has been carried out on the car in the past and various improvements have been made. The BMW starts immediately, shifts smoothly and powerfully through all gears, runs nicely at a steady 800 rpm at idle, and brakes excellently.

INTERIOR:

The interior is in very neat condition and still retains the original headliner. The rest of the interior has remained completely original as well. The previous owner always parked this car indoors in a storage facility, and that careful handling is evident in the overall condition of the interior.

PICK-UP:

The car can be picked up or viewed in Bruinisse, the Netherlands.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
