Very nice panel made from original recycled and reclaimed boat wood which for me it is the best way to archive an authenic look with real colors and patina.
Fishing boats are common place on Bali and other neighboring Indonesian islands. These colorful boats are not only beautiful, but are important for fishermen, helping provide their families with the things they need to survive. When a fishing boat has become too expensive to repair, it might simply be turned into firewood. The boatwood is made from hard woods such as teak and ironwood.
Preserving the naturally aged beauty of the material, the years of layered paint, weathered by time and elements, help create a striking, one-of-a-kind piece of art.
Dimensions: 60x48x4cm (the boatwood piece is backed up on nice old teak backplate; (see last photo) the weight is really heavy around 8KG!
