Conjunto de músicos – Dos liebres tocando el piano y el arpa – Plata maciza 925 – Firmado CANELO – España, mediados del siglo XX

Extraordinario conjunto escultórico formado por dos liebres antropomórficas: una tocando el piano de cola y otra el arpa (instrumento de cuerda vertical de gran belleza).

Las figuras, realizadas en plata maciza 925, son obra del reconocido artista Canelo, conocido por su original interpretación del mundo animal en clave de humor y fantasía, dentro del lenguaje escultórico español de mediados del siglo XX.

El estilo de las figuras fusiona el art déco tardío con un fuerte carácter caricaturesco y expresivo, evocando la estética de los personajes de animación clásica europea. Los detalles del modelado, la expresividad de los movimientos y el contraste entre las superficies pulidas y las zonas patinadas confieren a cada pieza un encanto inconfundible.

El piano de cola presenta tapa decorada con grabado floral en relieve y patas torneadas con incrustación de madera noble, testimonio del refinamiento técnico de la orfebrería artística española.
