China Carpets trace a centuries-long tradition and are among the most important handicrafts of East Asia. They combine intricate patterns, high-quality materials, and deep cultural symbolism into unique carpets that are valued both as floor coverings and as wall decorations.

Origin and History
The history of Chinese rug weaving dates back to the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD). Especially in western China, for example in the Ningxia region or later in Beijing, artistic carpets were created, often for the imperial court. From the 19th century onward, China Carpets gained increasing international significance and were exported to Europe and America.
