Description from the seller
Raymond Loewy - vintage industrial style, a lovely enameled cast iron casserole with a design. The casserole - ideal for stews, meats, poultry. As well as an elegantly designed and sensational casserole for the kitchen. Made by FE Belgium (Ferronnerie et Emaillerie). There is a relief stamp on the bottom of the pot: 'FE'. Examples of FE have been exhibited at the Belgian Industrial Museum.
Here is the very rare vintage piece. This model was also called 'flying saucer.' This pot is a spectacular creation by Raymond Loewy, who also designed kitchen utensils for Le Creuset.
The specimen has been well maintained, clean both inside and out, without chips. Always fully functional and, as I mentioned, with a magnificent, very bright view. However, there are a few small scratches. But this can be forgiven when considering the age and rarity of this pot.
Format:
Inner dimensions 21 x 27 cm = 8 1/4 x 10 1/2 inches, with wide handles 35 cm = 13 1/2 inches
Inner height 6.5 cm = 2 1/2 inches. With lid 12 cm = 4 3/4 inches.
Weight 4 kilograms.
