Presentation of the Work
The series 'La Muerta' pays tribute to the beauty and symbolism of Día de los Muertos through powerful and vibrant female portraits. Each image celebrates the duality between life and death, brightness and mystery, through meticulous work on color and light. The faces, adorned with traditional Mexican makeup, become living totems, a blend of elegance, memory, and spirituality. The compositions combine floral symbols, baroque adornments, and intense gazes to express strength and serenity in the face of the passage of time. 'La Muerta' transcends mere representation to become a homage to eternal femininity, Mexican culture, and the beauty of remembrance.
