Description from the seller
A Masterpiece of Belgian Crystal
For sale, an exceptional Centerpiece Crystal Bowl, crafted by the prestigious Cristallerie du Val Saint Lambert (VSL) in Belgium. This large catch-all or bowl is a remarkable testament to Mid-20th Century design (1950-1970).
Features and Design
• Manufacturer: Val Saint Lambert (VSL), Belgium.
• Period: circa 1950 – 1970 (Mid-Century Modern / Free Form style).
Design: The piece features a highly sought-after freeform and asymmetrical shape, evoking a wave or an elegant twist. This bold style is characteristic of creations from that era, often attributed to renowned VSL designers like René Delvenne or the Bon Brothers.
Color (Rosaline/Light): The crystal is double-colored with two layers. The base and edges are a deep pink (Rosaline) leaning towards amethyst, which contrasts beautifully with the clear crystal. The density of the crystal highlights the reflections and light play characteristic of VSL's craftsmanship.
Material: brilliant crystal.
Authenticity: kept with its original label (VSL) guaranteeing its authenticity.
