Description from the seller
Invader’s 11th invasion map is dedicated to New York City, published in 2003 on the occasion of his exhibition 'While You Were Playing Rubik’s Cube' at Flux Factory, an artist residency in Queens. This marked the artist’s first large-scale project in the United States, launching a long relationship with the city — since then, several additional invasions have taken place, with more than 200 mosaics installed across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and beyond.
Unfolded dimensions: 42 × 60 cm
Condition: Excellent (9.9/10) — this map has never been unfolded and has been carefully stored flat and away from light since 2003.
The invasion map you are purchasing is exactly the same as the one shown in our photos.

Born in 1969, Invader is now certainly considered, alongside Banksy, one of the most famous street artists in the world. It all began in the late 1990s when the Parisian artist decided to install his first mosaic in the streets, referencing the 1980s arcade game Space Invaders. To date, he has installed over 4000 of these mosaics, more than 1500 of which are in Paris. The Flash Invader app, created in 2014, has given him access to an enormous international audience, now boasting nearly 30 million flashes to date.
His work extends across prints, invasion kits, aliases, works made from Rubik’s Cubes, and other pieces and objects that play with pixels and reflect broader popular culture. His fan base is extensive; they are the ones who eagerly buy every book and produce the artist regularly releases, as demonstrated by the major retrospective exhibition held in Paris in 2024.
With several auction records, including a piece that sold for over a million euros in 2015, his works are highly valuable today, and collectors compete to acquire their desired pieces. Invader remains a cornerstone of French urban art, regardless of the work or object.

If you are based in the Paris region, you can pick up the artwork directly from our gallery located in the 11th arrondissement. Otherwise, we ship in Europe. Our works are carefully packaged, protected, and shipped with tracking and insurance.
