Ricardo Paseyro (born in Mercedes on December 5, 1925, died in Paris on February 5, 2009) was a Franco-Uruguayan poet and writer. First and foremost a poet, he published his first collection in Buenos Aires in 1950. He was immediately acclaimed by José Bergamin, Pedro Salinas, and Ricardo Baeza. From his young years, Paseyro frequented Susana Soca and became co-director of Entregas de La Licorne published in Montevideo. Cioran, Michaux, Valentine Hugo were all friends within the same literary circle.
