Description from the seller

Original edition of this beautiful collection of poems by Ricardo Paseyro (1925-2009). One of the rare 50 copies printed separately on vellum, numbered by hand 31, and presented in a cover with a unique relief sculpture in glass and bronze by Josette Rispal.

In sheets, under a cover and ochre folder, first course adorned with the original plaque crafted by the sculptor and signed by her at the bottom. White fabric laces as a clasp.
In good condition despite stains on the shirt and a large stain on the cover and the front page, running along the margins of the book. Exceptional work by the artist, intact.

This collection of poems mainly represents the last twenty-five years of an ongoing work. The author has revised the French versions by Armand Robin, J-L. Supervielle, and Mario Maurin of his already published poems. He has also translated the unpublished texts of Los peregrinos nunca llegan himself.
Spanish text with French translation.

Ricardo Paseyro (born in Mercedes on December 5, 1925, died in Paris on February 5, 2009) was a Franco-Uruguayan poet and writer. First and foremost a poet, he published his first collection in Buenos Aires in 1950. He was immediately acclaimed by José Bergamin, Pedro Salinas, and Ricardo Baeza. From his young years, Paseyro frequented Susana Soca and became co-director of Entregas de La Licorne published in Montevideo. Cioran, Michaux, Valentine Hugo were all friends within the same literary circle.
