Vincenzo Chiomenti (born 1930)
Vincenzo Chiomenti is an Italian illustrator and comic artist who was mainly active during the 1950s to 1970s.
He worked for numerous Italian publishers (including Edizioni Alpe, Edizioni Audace / Bonelli, Il Intrepido, Il Monello) and illustrated a large number of western, adventure, and historical series.
His style is typical of Italian 'fumetti d’aventura'.
Powerful brushwork, high contrast in black and white, dynamic action scenes.
Original plates from Chiomenti are today sought after by collectors of Italian western comics, but still remain generally affordable.
