Description from the seller

Pair of Antique Oak Chairs – William & Mary Period (circa 1680–1720)
Origin: Northern Europe (likely England or the Netherlands)
Material: Solid hand-carved oak

Beautiful and authentic pair of late 17th – early 18th century oak chairs.
Each chair is fully handcrafted with pegged mortise-and-tenon joints, turned baluster legs, and an H-shaped stretcher. The arched backrests with shaped crossbars are characteristic of the rustic Jacobean / William & Mary style.

The surface shows the original patina and fine tool marks typical of pre-industrial craftsmanship. The construction is solid and stable. One chair retains a later removable cushion with a tied bow, adding a charming touch.

Condition:
Excellent for the age — authentic patina, minor wear consistent with age. No modern screws or restorations detected.

Dimensions (each chair):
Height: 90 cm
Width: 42 cm
Depth: 32 cm

Period: ca. 1680–1720
Style: William & Mary / Early Baroque
Material: Solid oak
Origin: England or the Netherlands

Shipping: Carefully packed and shipped with tracking. Professional packaging for antique furniture.
