L'Aminta is a pastoral fable composed by Torquato Tasso in 1573 and published around 1580. Tasso himself, then twenty-nine, after composing the work in only two months, had trained the actors of the Gelosi Company in an unusual style of performance, where among the other actors in the improvised comedy were already famous Vittoria Piissimi, Simon Bolognese, Giulio Pasquati and Rinaldo Petignoni.
Copy in good condition with some orange underlining and widespread, though light, foxing. Complete and usable.
