A Rare and Exquisite Polychrome Covered Box with Floral Patterns, Later Le Dynasty, 15-16th Century, Vietnam

Polychrome covered box with moulded body, flattened cover, short carved footring and recessed base. Decorated in underglaze blue and green enamel with traces of hexagonal border and floral design on flattened cover.

Provenance:
A French private collection formed in Hong Kong during the 1960s-1980s.

Condition:
Some abrasion caused by age. There is a small chip on the rim of the cover, about 0.2 cm long. There is another small chip on the rim of the cover, about 0.5 cm long. Crack of about 2 cm in length at the body of the box. There's a couple of small bumps and scratches. No restoration.
