Giuseppe Vailetti was the head of a stylistic school that also involved his two sons, Santino and Benito, who have a substantial and qualified body of work in public and private collections. Trained at the Free Nude School at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan, he began his career as a decorator and taught ornamental drawing and ceramic decoration at professional schools in Lodi. He held his first exhibition in 1922, showcasing clear and poetic landscapes of the Lodi countryside, and continued with exhibition activities, participating in the 1926 National Art Exhibition in Milan. He soon became the quintessential landscape painter in the area and passed on his craft to his two sons, Santino (1927–1969) and Benito (1934–2003), who later attended the Free Nude School at the Brera Academy and became known for landscapes similar to their father's. He died on August 31, 1950, and a few days later, at the inauguration of the Città di Lodi Prize, a space of particular prominence was dedicated to him. The Civic Museum of Lodi dedicated a retrospective exhibition to him in 1962.

In excellent overall condition, no restorations or noteworthy defects are observed, and no conservation-related issues are evident.
