All medals represents General Philippe Leclerc de Hauteclocque (real name Philippe de Hauteclocque), a major figure of the Second World War, who was elevated to the rank of Marshal of France posthumously.
All medals in excellent condition!

Details of the First Medall:
Personality: The profile portrait is that of General Leclerc, wearing his famous kepi decorated with stars
Dates: The dates 1902 1947 inscribed on the medal correspond to his years of birth and death.
Building: The building represented a right side is the Hôtel des Invalides in Paris, where he is buried in the crypt.
The inscription "Correia" at the bottom right is the name of the engraver

On the reverse of the medal:
It highlights the 2nd armoured division he commanded and the important cities he liberated, including Kufra, Paris, Strasbourg and Berchtesgaden.
Leclerc was promoted to Marshal of France posthumously by decree of August 23, 1952.

Presentation Medal 45th anniversary of the Liberation of Paris and Strasbourg by the Leclerc Division, 1989

The medal presents Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral and the inscription "LIBERATION OF PARIS BY THE LECLERC DIVISION".
The dates "1944 - 25. VIII - 1989" are inscribed at the bottom, marking the anniversary of the event.
The liberation of Paris took place on August 25, 1944, when General de Gaulle received von Choltitz's act of surrender.

Reverse (not visible):
Represents Strasbourg Cathedral with the French flag.
The inscription on the reverse refers to the liberation of Strasbourg by the same division, on November 23, 1944.
