Description from the seller
Oil paint on panel 0.6 cm
I paint this kind of scenes because they tell me something about those quiet moments when a young person just doesn't know what to do with the situation.
It doesn't have to be literally correct — I'm more interested in the emotion behind it.
The car, the fire, the dark field: these are actually stage props.
The real subject is how she stands there: a little lost, a little stubborn, and at the same time stronger than she herself realizes.
I am always looking for those kinds of transitions in young people — moments when they must hold onto themselves amidst things that are larger than they are.
Not meant to be dramatic, just honest: such a second when someone doesn't yet know how to proceed.
I enjoy creating portraits of young men and teenagers because there is something special visible in that phase of life: a vulnerability that has not yet been hardened by the world. Their faces and bodies carry an ambiguity — they are not fully formed yet, but full of promise and possibilities. What matters most to me is that in-between moment: no longer a child, not yet a man. Within that transition lies a beauty I want to capture, the openness of what can still become and the fragile awareness that this stage is only short-lived.
All series – from self-portraits and aging bodies to young male boxers, women at sunset, and intimate scenes with cats – can be found on my website, where you can also read more about my background and motivations.

I work exclusively with high-quality materials: professionally prepared linen or smooth panels, and top-quality oil paint rich in pigment. Each piece is created with care and dedication—intended to last a long time, not only in terms of material but also in meaning.
My work is an ode to what slowly disappears: body, silence, attention.
Due to vacation congestion, delays may occur in delivery.
