Batavia Illustrata, or Treatises on the Origin, Progress, Customs, Honor, State, and Worship of Old Batavia, as well as on the Nobility and Governance of Holland, partly from W. van Gouthoven and other writers, but mainly from a multitude of old manuscripts and authentic documents and proofs. Compiled by Mr. Simon van Leeuwen - The Hague, Johan Veely, Johan Tongerloo, Jasper Doll, 1685 - 2 volumes in one binding - continuously paginated (26) 664, 665-1520 pages - leather folio with raised bands on the spine.

Good. Leather somewhat worn/aged. Right knee area at the top torn up to the first rib, crack in the spine's head, 1cm. Tear in the front cover's fore edge, approximately 5cm. Interior is reasonably fresh with slight discoloration; second title page browned. The textblock is solid and firm in the binding.
