James Rizzi was a pop artist best known for his bright, cartoonlike drawings and 3D constructions. The three-dimensionality gave his prints a sense of movement and playfulness. Rizzi's works began with the artist sketching the scene, including all of the figures with their own personalities. After finishing each sketch in ink, he finalized the color coding, which was sent to his printer. The work then went into its final stage of collaging from multiple versions of prints that created the final three dimensional form.
