This is a 1971 First Edition Thus copy, of J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord Of The Rings". The stories were first released as a single volume with illustrated dust jacket, in 1959. The dust jacket features classic illustrations by Pauline Baynes and the original Lord Of The Rings type-set, making it very desirable to LOTR collectors. The book has been well looked after, and it remains in Good condition. It would make a great addition to any children's illustrated library or private collection.

- Good overall condition
- Full page, black & white maps
- Original font to the dust jacket
- Gilt titles to the spine
- Pages are clean & straight - a little tanned due to the age
- Page edges are straight - a little browned to the top & fore-edges
- Text-block is complete
- Binding and hinges are secure
- Boards are clean & straight- a little faded to the rear & top edge
- Spine is straight - a little faded
- Dust jacket is complete and straight - faded and marked
