Rare anatomical teaching model in hand-painted plaster of a human head without a skullcap, highlighting the brain, made in the early 1900s by PARAVIA, Italy.
The cerebral hemispheres, detachable and held together by pegs, can be removed and separated to allow for internal inspection. The various structures are marked with letters and numbers referring to a 'legend.' Made of plaster and papier-mâché material. Good condition overall, except in some areas where restoration might be needed. Rare and hard-to-find item. Actual size measurements: approximately 20 cm high and 30x30x30 cm.
