Copper decanter from a French restaurant, dating to 1910–1920, with two handles for easy serving at the table and a beautiful patina.

AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Rare wine decanter from a French restaurant.
The special thing about this one is that because it has two handles it can be taken to a table and the wine can then be poured into a carafe.
You can use it to decoratively display a bottle of wine, pour your glass of wine or decant your bottle of wine.
Decanting is the process of pouring wine into a glass carafe. This is done to separate the lees (the sediment) from the wine, or, in the case of older wines, to allow air to enter the wine, allowing it to open up and present itself more softly.
By turning the handle, you can smoothly raise and lower the bottle. It works extremely precisely.
A decanter of this age and in this version is rarely found.
The decanter still contains an empty bottle of wine from 1962.
The copper has a fantastic patina after over 100 years.

This lot has been carefully cleaned and will be carefully packed, shipped via registered mail with insurance, and includes a Track & Trace code so you can follow the shipment. Pickup in Ridderkerk - Zuid Holland is also possible. I have delicious hand-ground coffee.
