Vol.III: [i-v], vi-viii, [9], 10-274 pp.; Vol.IV: [i-iv], [5], 6-268 pp.] Frontis pieces, engraved title-
pages. 14.5 x 9 cm. Contemporary full leather with gold lettering on black spine panels.
Frontis pieces by Stothard, as used in Sharpe’s London edition of 1809, but here
newly engraved by W. E. Tucker, captioned, signed by artist and engraver with chapter
references; vignettes on engraved title-pages (these dated 1828) by Westall, as used in
Hurst Robinson’s London edition of 1820, but here newly engraved by Tucker,
signed by artist and engraver with amended page references. ‘Some account of the Life
of Cervantes’ (vol.I) is signed ‘S.J.’, also from Sharpe’s edition.
