AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Antoon Kruysen was born in 1898 in Boxtel as the eldest descendant of painter Jan Kruysen and Barbara van Dijk. Antoon was a true painting talent and received his first lessons from his father Jan Kruysen. He was also educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam and then in Geneva. He achieved many successes in Paris, Dreux, Wassenaar, Reims, Oslo and Chartres. This is where he would eventually live after many wanderings around the Second World War. He eventually died there in 1979. His work can be found in the Musee Jeu de Paume in Paris and the Musee des Beaux Arts in Chartres, among others. His work can also be found in many private collectors in Brabant.

Canvas dimensions 47x38
Originating from the Peter van den Braken Centre in Sterksel.
Beautiful matching wooden frame.
The various shades of snow with white, yellow and pink form a beautiful combination with the grey-blue sky.
It makes for a peaceful scene.
