Description of The Hague, including its origin, name, occasion, expansions, misfortunes, and glory, as well as the founding of the Court, the churches, monasteries, chapels, almshouses, and other prominent buildings. The sessions of the High Colleges both of police and justice; the establishment of the Chapter at the Court. Also the privileges, charters, statutes, and manner of governance. Drawn from very many unpublished original charters and documents, clarified and confirmed - Delft/The Hague, R. Boitet/J. de Cros, 1730/1739 - (34) 509; (2) 511-946 (53); (10) 520, 78 (20) pages - half-leather bindings with gilded spine.

Good. Abrasions and bumps / Exlibris covers, insides discolored / foxing, some spots here and there. Some dog-eared pages. Tear, 1 to 3 cm, in the margin of about ten pages. Loss of a corner on three pages. Hole in two rust spots. Some typesetting errors.
Part 1: small tear at the top of the back, 3cm.
2: spine damaged with fraying, page numbering jumps from 806 to 809 (typographical error, no missing pages).
One of two wormholes the size of a pinhead at the bottom inside margin of the first 35 pages (from the beginning through page 586).
Small cutout of a few mm from the side margin pages 32 to 42.

Contains frontispiece, 3 title vignettes, 2 dedication engravings, 22 (out of 56) engravings on double pages and full pages, and 6 images of coins within the text. All engravings depicted.
Two large, prominent engravings of the Treveskamer of the States General - tear, 2cm, on the left second horizontal fold from the bottom and in the middle of the lower horizontal fold, 2cm;
