Rare original edition, illustrated by a beautiful title engraved by David. Santa Fare created the abbey of Faremoutiers around 1620, under the rule of San Colombano.
The life of Saincte Fare, founder and first abbess of Fare-Monstier en Brié, is a biography of Sainte Fare (also known as Fare de Poitiers) written by R.P. Augustin Carcat, provincial of the Augustinians Reformati, and published in Paris in 1629 by Robert Sara. This book, which also includes the lives of the nuns who lived under her guidance, recounts the story of this saintly founder of the abbey of Fare-Monstier in Brie.
