The Gems series features five unique sculptures (1/1 editions), each conceived as a singular jewel, where color, texture, and relief are in constant dialogue. The female figures, modeled as three-dimensional busts and embedded in frames filled with graphic signs, evoke both the sacred and the urban, the classical and the contemporary.
Each piece is marked by a distinct color palette — explosions of neon, vibrant gradients, and metallic tones — transforming each sculpture into its own universe. However, the true richness of this series lies in its invisible dimension: under ultraviolet light, hidden layers emerge, revealing patterns and secret inscriptions that expand the aesthetic experience beyond what the eye can normally perceive.
Just like gemstones shaped by time and light, the Gems reveal themselves to be multifaceted and inexhaustible. The viewer is invited not only to observe but to actively explore—discovering what remains hidden and questioning the value of the visible and the invisible, the ephemeral and the eternal.
About Hione
Natural from Porto, Hione is a visual artist who, since 2013, has been transforming walls into works of art, using graffiti as his main form of expression. His career, which began on the streets of the city, reflects a deep connection with urban culture. Each creation is a unique fusion of vibrant colors and bold shapes.
Over the years, Hione has developed a distinctive style that transcends traditional graffiti conventions, integrating elements of contemporary art, illustration, and graphic design. His work is showcased in public and private contexts, always aiming to provoke thought and inspire the audience.
With over a decade of experience, Hione has known how to bring his art to new audiences, having participated in various exhibitions and collaborative projects.
At this moment, Hione continues to challenge the limits of graffiti, deepening his exploration in the figurative field and keeping an attentive eye on the evolution of his personal style, as well as the impact of his art on the world around him.
