Bactrian Bronze Kohl Jar with Applicator
Circa 2nd-1st millennium BC
This lovely bronze cosmetic vessel comprises a tall, trumpet-shaped jar with a broad shoulder and narrow neck beneath an everted lip, accompanied by a slender stem applicator terminating in a bifid, disciform finial.
Dimensions: 12cm x 3cm x 1cm
Provenance: Private European Collection; formerly acquired from old UK and European collection formed since the 1970s.
