Description from the seller

Pair of polychrome porcelain vase with a crater shape, featuring the emblem of an aristocratic family flanked by two griffins with their motto in Latin: 'Spero' on one side, and floral ornaments on the other. Decorated with gold finishes, assembled in two parts, with rusty screws, embossed painting with white enamel, and mask-shaped handles with rams on the sides. Marked porcelain under the base in blue; French from Paris Bourdois & Bloch, early 20th century. Bourdois & Bloch were known for producing high-quality porcelain ceramics in Paris. The Bourdois & Bloch porcelain mark is a symbol of two crossed sheaves painted in blue. This mark was used by this Parisian porcelain manufacturer, active from the late 1800s to the early decades of the 1900s, specifically between 1820 and 1926. Dimensions: height 25.5 cm x diameter 17.5 cm.
