Description from the seller
ABOUT THE WORK
Reclined male figure in a chair, articulated from an economy of means that combines stain and structural line. The horizontal composition is supported by a main diagonal (head–torso–thigh) that organizes the visual weight and guides the gaze toward the volume of the hip and legs. The contrapposto and limb flexion generate a dynamic tension between support and fall, reinforced by the curvature of the backrest as a formal counterpoint.
Technically, the work employs fluid layers and glazes with reservations of the support's white, alternated with more opaque passages. The flesh tones are modeled through tonal modulation (ochres, siennas, pinks, and cool greenish blues) without resorting to anatomical detail, prioritizing volumetric synthesis. The contour is defined by an irregular, discontinuous dark line that acts as a graphic framework, while splashes and drips introduce controlled accident and superficial rhythm.
The background, resolved in subdued fields of grays and greens with dragging textures, functions as a neutral atmospheric plane that separates figure and space, avoiding narrative and focusing the reading on bodily presence, gesture, and pictorial materiality. A contemporary piece with a clear figurative-expressive orientation, balancing drawing, stain, and visible process.
Includes a certificate of authenticity.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born in Madrid, I combined my passion for art and computer science for 20 years as an art director in the video game industry, gaining international recognition.
My journey as a visual artist began in 2022, using painting as a cathartic medium to overcome physical and emotional pain. Since then, color, abstraction, and the male anatomy have been pillars of my work. I explore the male body from a homoerotic perspective and use abstraction to express deep emotions, experiences, and internal states that words cannot convey. My constant search for new techniques and materials reflects my desire to push visual boundaries, allowing each work to remain open to interpretation and the personal connection of each viewer.
Today, several of my pieces are part of private collections in cities around the world, including Madrid, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Milan, Los Angeles, and Washington.
