Meissen porcelain vase with the Red Dragon motif, height 14 cm, diameter 13 cm, made in Germany by Meissen in 1970–1980, in very good condition with minimal signs of wear.
Description from the seller
A fine porcelain vase from the world-famous Meissen porcelain manufactory, decorated with the classic motif of the Red Chinese Dragon. This historic court decoration is among the most prestigious hand-painted designs of the manufactory and was originally produced exclusively for the Saxon court. The dragon is masterfully executed in a rich iron red, with finely detailed scales, flames, and the typical imperial pearl – an impressive example of the high art of Meissen painting.
On the underside is the pure, uninterrupted crossed swords mark in cobalt blue, without lines or loops – a clear sign of first quality. The small red numbers and abbreviations are original painter's and decorator's marks, as found only on hand-painted Meissen ware.
The vase is in very good condition, with no visible damage or restoration. Its shape is classic and elegant, making it suitable both as a collector's item and as a decorative accent in modern and historical interiors.
The goods are wrapped in padding foil and enclosed in bio-styrofoam within a double-walled carton for shipment via DHL.
A high-quality piece from the first European porcelain manufactory – ideal for connoisseurs, Meissen collectors and lovers of fine hand painting.
