Description from the seller
About the work:
"Who am I" is a photographic project that reveals the power of the unsaid. Each shot portrays a female figure wrapped in an ethereal veil, where details of the body - a slender neck, a sinuous arm - emerge together with luxurious jewelry, such as sparkling necklaces or refined earrings. The veil does not hide, but invites the observer to imagine, to question.
Inspired by Magritte's surrealism, Man Ray's transparencies and Sarah Moon's dreamlike aesthetics, the project explores the boundary between the visible and the invisible. As in Magritte's Les Amants, the veil is a symbol of mystery, while Merleau-Ponty's thought reminds us that identity exists in a continuous tension between what is seen and what is intuited.
"Who am I" intertwines the allure of luxury with the mystery of the hidden essence, transforming photography into a silent dialogue. Who is this woman? What do the details that emerge tell? The project does not reveal, but suggests: the true protagonist is the mystery.
