Set of 2 decorative faience cups – Sarreguemines – Hispano-Moorish style – Signed
Elegant set of two decorative faience cups produced by the famous Sarreguemines manufacturer.
Entirely hand-painted decor in a Hispano-Moorish / Orientalist style: interlaced geometric patterns, highlights in blue, ochre, and ivory, fine outlines, glossy glaze.
Each piece bears on the reverse:
Handwritten signature of the decorator artist.
The inscription “Sarreguemines”
Workshop numbering (series / set).
Typical pieces of artistic productions from Sarreguemines towards the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, sought after for their orientalist aesthetic and the finesse of their decoration.
