Description from the seller
1)Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru "Les Valozières” 1999
Vincent Girardin - 2 bottles - 75 cl
The vines are located in the area of the Aloxe-Corton municipal appellation, a charming village with the only red Grand Cru of the Côte de Beaune. Soil: clay-marl subsoil, depending on the location with limestone waste.
Manual harvesting, sorting by vines and then sorting on a sorting table (depending on certain years, use of an optical sorter) and then in the winery. The name of the place comes from the "Val aux Osiers". The soils and subsoils are very clayey, in the middle of the hills, facing south and southeast. Located below the Corton Bressandes Grands Crus. Cool soil retains moisture well with a lot of debris from chailles.
The bottles are stored in a dark cellar
2) Aloxe-Corton 1995 75 cl Caves Drosard - 1 bottle - 75 cl
Aloxe-Corton is a French wine with an appellation d'origine contrôlée (designation of origin controlled), produced in a large part of the communes of Aloxe-Corton and in a small part of the communes of Ladoix-Serrigny and Pernand-Vergelesses, in the Côte-d'Or region. It is one of the communal appellations of the Côte de Beaune vineyard, located between the Ladoix production area to the north, Pernand-Vergelesses to the west, and Savigny-lès-Beaune and Chorey-lès-Beaune to the south. Aloxe-Corton's reputation is largely built on the excellent vintages of Corton and Corton-Charlemagne. Caves Dromard are located in the Côte-d'Or region of Ladoix-Serrigny, the first village in the Côte-de-Beaune after the Côte de Nuits. They are housed in a restored Burgundian house featuring glazed tiles, stained glass, arcades, and a magnificent vaulted underground cellar, a museum-style vault. Inside the winery, with its rosé granite floor, you'll discover 23 stainless steel vats decorated with Corton tassels, a staircase, and a tasting room, combining aesthetics with wine quality. We specialize in "out of the ordinary" French wines, worthy of aging and improvement (both bulk and bottled). For information or a tasting, please contact Caves Dromard in Burgundy.
