Description from the seller
1 Bottle of Miyagikyo :
Located in the valley of Miyagi, a region in the north of Japan’s Honshu island known for its pure air and the quality of its natural springs, the Miyagikyo distillery produces a refined malt whisky with a signature fruity and floral freshness.
The single malt Miyagikyo bottling represents the perfect expression of the distillery’s delicate character, with an emphasis on ex-sherry casks for maturation to bring added depth to this whisky’s natural charm.
1 Bottle of Yoichi :
Nikka Whisky’s first distillery and guardian of their tradition, Yoichi is located on the coast of Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan.
Crafted using methods from the past, such as direct coal heating, the Yoichi single malt truly captures the authentic character of its exceptional location, with its refined coastal and peat notes.
A subtle blend of Yoichi casks of various ages, of which a large portion was matured in ex-sherry casks, the perfect representative of Nikka’s historic single malt expresses a delicate balance between smoky, fruity and floral aromas.
1 Bottle of Taketsuru :
A tribute to Masataka Taketsuru, the father of Japanese whisky and founder of Nikka. As a disciplined craftsman, Taketsuru has always been in search of perfection in the art of blending his whiskies, a personality trait that inspired Nikka to create the Taketsuru Pure Malt.
This whisky is a blend of casks from Yoichi and Miyagikyo, Nikka’s two distilleries, and showcases an exquisite balance between great softness and deep complexity.
