AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Chateau Leoville-Las Cases 'Grand Vin de Leoville du Marquis de Las Cases Saint Julien Medoc 1974

One of the oldest vineyards in the Médoc, the Domaine de Léoville belonged to the richest and most influential French noble families who came to the Las Cases family. As a result of the French Revolution (expropriation of emigrants, establishment of egalitarian partition), the estate was divided between 1826 and 1840. Through a kind of birthright survival, Léoville las Cases, which represents 3/5 and represents the heart of the old estate, was created. The current terroir of the Grand Vin is therefore the historic heart of the origin terroir, and has been since the 17th century. The gate, characteristic of the terrain, opens onto an enclosure of about 55 hectares, surrounded by a stone wall that delimits the terroir and extends from the village of Saint-Julien to Château Latour. Since the end of the 19th century, Léoville las Cases has been managed by the same family now represented by Mr. Jean-Hubert Delon, the sole owner.
